Standing Out by Standing Up: Utah Small Business Conference 2025

Yesterday, we had the opportunity to attend the Utah Small Business Conference at the Mountain America Center, where hundreds of entrepreneurs, community leaders, and local companies gathered to network, share ideas, and celebrate Utah’s business community.

From new startups to established organizations, the energy in the room was electric — people passionate about growth, innovation, and service. It was an incredible chance to connect with others who are working hard to make Utah thrive.

But as we looked around, something stood out: there weren’t many veteran-owned or veteran-supported businesses in attendance.

And that realization hit home.

At Unauthorized Gains, we’re a veteran-owned company built around service — not just in name, but in purpose. Our mission is to build businesses and communities that take care of those who take care of us — our first responders, active-duty service members, and veterans.

Too often, we see companies chasing profit over people, especially in the wellness and supplement space. But that’s where we’re different. Our focus isn’t on making a quick sale — it’s on creating sustainable health solutions that help service members stay strong, functional, and mission-ready for the long haul.

We don’t just want to be another supplement company. We want to be a standard for how business can serve those who serve.

Events like this remind us why our work matters — because when veterans and first responders are supported, entire communities become stronger.

We’re proud to represent the veteran community in Utah’s growing small business world and will continue to advocate for more veteran-owned and veteran-supported initiatives at future conferences and events across the state.
