Building Stronger Communities: Glendale Park Opening in Salt Lake City

Yesterday, we had the privilege of attending the Glendale Regional Park walkthrough in Salt Lake City — a project that shows what happens when a city truly listens to its people.

This park wasn’t built by one organization alone. It was built by the community, through years of collaboration between Salt Lake City Public Lands, the Mayor’s Office, and residents who shared a vision for a better, more connected city.

While Unauthorized Gains played only a small part in this journey, it’s one we’re incredibly proud to support. Our mission isn’t about taking credit — it’s about building a community of veterans and first responders who will use spaces like Glendale Park to train, connect, and come together.

These are the men and women who protect the city, the parks, and the people who live here. Our role is to help keep them healthy, functional, and mission-ready, so they can continue protecting the places that bring people together.

We might not build the parks — but we help build the strength that protects them.

At Unauthorized Gains, we believe that wellness is the foundation of every strong community. When our first responders and veterans are supported, the entire community grows stronger. That’s why we’re dedicated to keeping those who serve healthy, resilient, and ready, while encouraging more people to show love and appreciation for the heroes around them.

As we grow, our goal is to bring even more veterans, first responders, and civilians together through fitness, wellness events, and outreach — uniting the people who keep this community strong.

Because strength isn’t built alone. It’s built together — through service, discipline, and shared purpose.
